The pear doesn't fall too far...

My son and I used the same photo reference. He made a very nice watercolor. This was from my first week of playing with oils. I had not yet considered complement-mixing, brush size, edges or, well, anything really. I painted purely on instinct, just concentrating on painting what I see.
