8x8 gouache

I was in Boston last week. On our way to the Freedom Trail, Eric and I unexpectedly found ourselves in the midst of a cannabis reform rally at Boston Common. We made our way through the crowd, sat on the grass, I mean lawn, and I made a quick sketch of the State Building. I could only suggest the blazing brilliance of the golden dome. I'll take another stab at it sometime. I was too timid to attempt to paint live, moving targets. It's too bad, because it was great people watching. We walked the trail, then enjoyed some wicked good chowda.
