6x6 oil on board
This metallic foil is driving me crazy. I had to try it again, it's so cool, but it's driving me crazy nonetheless.
My hubby likes dark chocolate. I'll give him some kisses for Valentine's Day.

Dar, I really like your new paintings! They have wonderful colors, nice light, and looser brushwork. It's hard to believe that you've only been painting a year. And, I enjoy your words (narrative? commentary?) You are good with words. Thanks for your comments on my blog. I liked your "vocabulary". Oh, and I like the way you put your name on the paper at the top of the kisses.
Hi Dar, Ann really says it all doesn't she? You were meant to be painter so don't ever doubt yourself. Are you taking lessons or have you done workshops? Sweet little kiss paintings, I bet the metallic wrappers are challenging.
Hilarious title, and gorgeous color combinations on both these paintings.
Ha... I didn't notice the DAR in the little pull thing until I read Ann's comments!!
You DO have a way with words!! My favorites are the DARKER kisses!!
Blogged about your titles just today... Very clever, Dar!
You gals have brightened up my day!
Ann, your compliment means a lot to me. I'm so glad you found my name in there!
Barb, my dear, thank you. I've watched a few videos, but mostly read books, and of course became a UStream junky! I'd like some video recommendations from you.
Hi Jala, thanks. I have to confess, the background colors were palette leftovers. You'd think I was raised during the Depression.
Thank you, Marian. I'm more clown than clever, but I'll accept it anyway!
Hey Dar. Our schnauzer (who still has her real tail) plays these tail-chasing games which can make your head spin and I feel like I've been riding on her back. I'm way behind checking on my favorite artists/bloggers, and all this time you've been posting these little jewels. It is amazing what you have accomplished in one year. Congratulations.
Thanks Dianne! Oh I know, you have a unique take on the concept of retirement.
I like the foil color better in bittersweet. If you keep painting chocolate you are going to get fat. But the paintings are good so it might be worth it.
I agree, the color is more authentic in the first one.
I'll paint diet food next.
