jubilee

11x14 oil on canvas

Hello friends! I've been at rest for a year. I've been enjoying your blogs all the while. (I love Google Reader.) I haven't had the energy to leave many comments and definitely not enough energy for painting. After several years of physical and cognitive decline, and nearly constant fatigue (and much head-scratching, wrong-tree-barking, exasperation, and a long wait to see my current doctor), I have a diagnosis of adrenal fatigue. It's too soon to report more, but I look forward to living again.

The tree in the painting is a memorial tree planted near our municipal building. I was surprised to find fruit in my search for flowering trees.

And yes, it felt good to be painting.

Here's to renewal.
Happy Earth Day.
Easter blessings.
Alleluia.

Dar, I wondered why you had stopped painting! I never thought about illness of any kind. You are always so cheerful and leave such kind words on others' blogs (including mine). Hope this is the beginning then of a true recovery. The deep rich background here is needed to complement those deep coloured cherries (they are cherries, yes?). This painting works on many levels. Congratulations girl on a fabulous come back! (but then you were never really away were you).

Missing you Dar...
Hope you are on the path to recovery.

Amazing, isn't it, how very controlled we are by the chemicals of our bodies??

Be well.

Hi Marian! I'm feeling well, and catching up on things other than painting. Thanks!

I had no idea you were suffering, Dar. I'm so sorry. I hope the docs are able to give you some help.

Rest is good. It obviously hasn't hurt you as far as your art is concerned. This is a truly lovely piece: very refreshing and full of life.
