Pennsylvania is very pretty, any time of year. Hillsides lush with forests have not completely given way to urban sprawl. Well, there was that W-mart debacle. Lee Scott decided to build where he wasn't welcome. Neither the townspeople nor the hillside would support him. He left us with a landslide and a renewed determination to support locally owned business.As I painted this morning, I noticed the trees across the Ohio were muted compared to the trees closer to me, and the sky was a bleached ombre. I realize this composition may be problematic as it isn't grounded, but I wanted to explore those shades of green, so I let it be.
I painted the feathery deciduous tree several times. I missed church because of it. I tried to make it worshipful. I did mention the Lord a few times.

A fine little painting, Dar. You are really progressing and doing it the right way. This piece has a sparkle that makes me want to keep looking at it. And about missing church? Betcha God didn't care at all.

Thanks Silvina. So far, neither the tree nor I have been hit by lightning. I did get shocked on a light switch. Does that count?
Dar, being in Pennsylvania, did you ever go to Gettysburg and view the cyclorama there?
