After a break, I came back to see if I could finish this, and I found that my geranium died. I forgot I had some floral do-hickeys to preserve individual stems. It's a plastic test tube with a gasket. It's my only tip to offer other painters, and I blew it. I wish I could tell you what they're called. When I did a web search for 'single stem test tube' I came up with hits for lab-grown cheeseburgers.I wrestled with the paint, but I did make it say 'overcast northern skylight.' That's the perfect light source, right? Since I don't do much else in the kitchen, I might as well make it a studio.

But you did a darn good pumpkin with it. Maybe a thrift shop would appreciate getting the stuff and you'd be rid of it.

yeah, that's a good idea. I should definitely not stick it in the closet with every craft I ever attempted.
I have some of those containers and I did know the name but can't think of it now. And, I just wasted a bunch of time trying to find the name on the net. I went through this before and finally went to a flower shop and asked.
I carry them when I go out scrounging "wild" flowers in the neighborhood.
They're probably just called 'plastic flower tubes.' (Unless they really are called do-hickeys.)
If you were my neighbor, Bill, I wouldn't mind you scrounging, as long as you clean up after your puppy and give me a commission when you sell a painting of my flowers.
Looking quite good - your flowers got a bit soft edged (just kidding).
Yes, they wilted, and so did my imagination. I took the cowardly way out.
Your imagination is just fine. Ok, now, you have taken care of Halloween, lets get started on Thanksgiving. It is going to be your best painting ever.
