7x5 oil on canvas
This is a premeditated painting. I had to buy supplies, bake and frost the cupcakes, reserve the cutest two for painting, and devour the rest. I reserved two in case I should lose control and eat the first model.
Knowing that my back might start hurting again, but wanting to stay in the habit of painting, my goals were brevity and levity. That may be my mantra this week.
Om. Brevity, levity.
Or maybe "mmm, cake."
Cake, mahna mahna

Hi Dar, a scrummy cup cake you have there. Love that turquoise in the background. It really sets off the icing and the candle! Now you have made me want one.
Hi Sheila, thanks. I'd paint a scone and clotted cream if I could find some around here!
Woo Hoo. Great job. And mouth-watering!
Thanks Dianne. It was tasty, but I wish I painted a glass of milk too.
Ooooh, it looks yummy, Dar! A nice painting! Hope your back is not giving you too much trouble.
Thanks, Ann. I think I've discovered a new motivation for painting, if each one ends with a yummy reward.
I am feeling better this week, thank you.
This is where the term "good enough to eat" comes from. A beauty.

Thanks, Bill! I really should bake more often.
